SRU School of Business earns
10-year ACBSP accreditation
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's School of Business has met all of the standards required to receive its initial 10-year accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
The ACBSP board of commissioners for the baccalaureate degree commission has given its stamp of approval to SRU's School of Business programs in accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing. (read more)
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - More than 120 Slippery Rock University students are using their summer for international study that will take them to such places as Costa Rica, France, Spain, England, Italy, Peru, Scotland, Mexico, Canada and China.
"We haven't been able to put our finger on exactly why, but our students have dramatically increased their summer study aboard participation," said Pamela Frigot, director of SRU's international services office. (read more)
Win ACSMES national title
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - A team of Slippery Rock University exercise science majors has won the national American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Science Student "College Bowl," bowling over nine other teams to bring home the gold.
The College Bowl is a "Jeopardy"-style competition that tests students' knowledge in exercise physiology, anatomy, biomechanics and clinical exercise physiology. (read more)
