Debbie Schell, assistant director of the University Union and Corey Fraction, a graduate assistant in community counseling and addiction from Beaver Falls, attended the ACUI Region Four Conference in Frederick, Md., where they presented "Programming on a Tight Budget."
Melissa Nard, assistant professor in SRU Student Counseling Center, attended the National Mental Health on Campus Conference at the University of Maryland. The executive board of Active Minds at SRU, including Timi Martin a psychology major from Wellsboro, president; Katie Hunter of an English major from Wellsboro, vice president; Grant Batchelor, a psychology major from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, secretary; and Abbey Sawl, a therapeutic recreation from Pittsburgh, treasurer, also attended. The SRU contingent presented on campus programming created to increase mental health awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental health disorders.
